French Creative Academy – Learn French with creativity and care

💫 We are Olivia and Didier

Together, we created the French Creative Academy to help adults learn French differently — through creative writing, literature, and slow, meaningful language practice.

We believe in gentle immersion, thoughtful teaching, and learning with heart.

👩‍🏫 Olivia – Founder & Instructor

I am a native French teacher, psychologist, and author of three novels.
I hold degrees in psychology, education, and a PhD in clinical psychology. I’ve been teaching for over 15 years — first in Paris, and now in Oxford.

I specialise in helping adult learners gain confidence, especially if they feel blocked, shy, or have had bad experiences with language learning.

At FCA, I design the courses, write the creative prompts, guide the 1:1 lessons, and lead most workshops.
My style is soft, structured, and centered on trust and creative expression.

👨‍🏫 Didier – Co-Instructor & Academic Mentor

Didier holds two Master’s degrees: one in Philosophy, the other in History.
He has taught private lessons in mathematics and philosophy, and worked for years in university history libraries and as a documentation specialist in secondary schools.

He brings a deep love for literature, logic, and critical thinking to the French Creative Academy.
Didier helps with written feedback, group workshops, and supports learners who enjoy structure, clarity, and intellectual exploration.

He’s particularly gifted at creating a calm and reflective atmosphere during in-person sessions.
