Première Page
A podcast to learn French through the opening page of a book
In Première Page, I read the opening page of a French book, then explain three words or expressions to help you enter the language more naturally.
It is a simple, meaningful way to practise French through real texts.
How the podcast works
Each episode follows a very simple format:
- I read the opening page of a book in French
- then I focus on three words or expressions
- and explain them to help you understand the language in context
The goal is not to analyse everything.
The goal is to help you enter French through a real voice, a real text, and a few useful language points.
Why I created this podcast
Many learners want to improve their French, but struggle to keep a living connection with the language.
They study grammar, memorise vocabulary, listen to things now and then… but French still feels slightly outside them.
With Première Page, I wanted to offer another kind of entry into the language:
a real text, a literary voice, a short listening moment, and a few words explained with clarity and gentleness.
Because language often stays with us more deeply when it is connected to something alive.
